Pressing E and D brings up Emojis and Dictation on Mac
The latest MacOS has an incompatibility with the app framework where input fields where pressing E brings up the emoji popup and D brings up the dictation window.
Here is the workaround for the emoji popup:
- Go to System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts.
- Go to App Shortcuts and press the + button to add new shortcut.
- Enter "Emoji & Symbols" for the menu title and Keyboard Shortcut. I use Apple key and E to replace the existing shortcut.
For the dictation window:
- Go to System Preferences > Keyboard > Dictation and turn off the Shortcut.
