Texting Photos
Sparkbooth 4 or later has the option to send text messages or photos to a mobile phone. A Premium license is required to use the feature. So you can either send the photo (MMS) or a text message with the download link to the photo (SMS). This feature requires either a Twilio, Vivial Connect, Vonage, or Telnyx.
Using Twilio
Twilio account is a paid service. Please check with Twilio for pricing.
- Sign up for a Twilio account, and purchase either a telephone number or short code from Twilio.
- Sign into your Twilio account and copy your account SID and Auth Token
- Open Sparkbooth and go to Settings, then Photo Booth, GIF Booth, or Mirror Booth, and select Send To Guest
- Enable Send to Guest
- Enable Mobile and select Twilio
- Enter your Twilio SID and Token, and press Login button
- Select the Twilio telelphone or shortcode you want to use
- Change the telephone number mask for your country's telephone number. Include the country code and use # as the number placeholder. In the US, if you want limit the area code use 1-555-###-#### so people can only enter mobile phone numbers in the 555 area code (use your area code instead of 555). You can disable the telephone mask by uncheck the checkbox in front of it.
- If you have a picture capable telephone or short code, you can send the photo instead of a link to the uploaded photo.
- Change the caption to include some text with the photo or link
- Change the "Upload to" for the service you want to use to host of photo upload.
- You now have texting setup for Sparkbooth. You can press the Test button to try it out
Using Vivial Connect
Vivial Connect is a paid service. Please check with Vivial Connect for pricing.
- Open Sparkbooth and go to Settings, then Photo Booth, GIF Booth, or Mirror Booth, select Send To Guest, enable Send to Mobile and select VivialConnect. Check if the settings require an Access Token, or API Key and Secret
- Sign up for a Vivial Connect account.
- Sign into your Vivial Connect account
- Go to Numbers to purchase a telephone number
- Click on your account name to expand the menu
- If Sparkbooth needs an Access Token:
- Click Access Tokens menu item
- Click New Tokens to create a new personal access token
- For Token Scope, select Messages and Numbers
- Click Create Token to finish
- Copy the access token value
- If Sparkbooth needs an API Key and Secret
- Click API Keys menu item
- Click New API Key
- Copy the API Key and Secret values,
- Click Save & Close
- Open Sparkbooth and go to Settings, then Photo Booth, GIF Booth, or Mirror Booth, and select Send To Guest
- Enable Send to Guest
- Enable Mobile and select Vivial Connect
- Enter your Vivial Connet Account ID, Access Token or API Key and Secret, and press Login button
- Select whether you want to SMS or MMS service, and the telephone number to use

Using Vonage

- Sign up for a Vonage account, and purchase either a telephone number or short code.

- Open Sparkbooth and go to Settings, then Photo Booth, GIF Booth, or Mirror Booth, and select Send To Guest
- Enable Send to Guest
- Enable Mobile and select Vonage
- Enter your Vonage Key and Secret, and press Login button
- Select the telelphone or shortcode you want to use
- Change the telephone number mask for your country's telephone number. Include the country code and use # as the number placeholder. - Sign up for a Telnyx account.
- Sign into your Telnyx account
- Go to Numbers to purchase a telephone number
- Click the Messaging icon for your telephone number to create a messaging profile
- Under SMS Messaging, click the list and select "Create new Messaging Profile" to create and assign a profile to the telephone number. You can update the settings of the profile later under Messaging
- Click the Auth menu item, select Auth V2 tab, and then Create API Key to create an API key. Copy the API Key (not the ID).
- Open Sparkbooth and go to Settings, then Photo Booth, GIF Booth, or Mirror Booth, and select Send To Guest
- Enable Send to Guest
- Enable Mobile and select Telnyx
- Enter API Key and press Login button
