Hi there,

I was wondering if if is possible to make rectangular, circle or oval photo's.
In the layout editor I can only add a square photo area.

I did see an example of Button photo layout, but I don't know how this is done.
It seems that there is a circle on top of the square.
Can somebody explain to me how this is done.

Thanks.
Edwin

You can use an overlay with a "hole" and position the photo under the ovelay

    Edwin,

You can create your layouts using 3 different PHOTO STYLE formats.
    SQUARE - RECTANGLE - PORTRAIT
The same as a normal photo is taken with any camera.
If you want to create the illusion of a CIRCLE photo,
best is to create your layout using the Square Style photo boxes
and add a Circle overlay image to cover the outer area of the square photo.
Same to create a Diamond illusion...

Understand that all photos are either Square, or Rectangle or Portrait
and any other photo image that is not, has been altered/created using
an overlay to cover the outer area of the photo.

I could help you learn how to do this using Skype where we can talk and
I can share my screen to answer all your questions and show you how it all can be done.

    Hi Joe,

    Thanks for you answer.

Is it possible to make a quick video on the Sparkbooth Youtube chanel how to create a circle overlay ?
Because I live in a differtent country and we have different timezones, i'ts difficult to contact you by Skype.

Maybe there are more customers who can take benefit of a video ?

    Gr. Edwin

I will work on creating a video showing how to make
    a SPECIAL overlay (like circle/star/etc)

NOTE: there are 3 different types to create
    1) Square - 2) Wide - 3) Portrait
I will create an example for the Wide (most used) and explain
what needs to be done for the Square and Portrait styles.

and post a link when ready...
