'Closed' or maintenence screen

I often need to set up the booth a few hours before I am due to start the session. I use a touch screen PC and usually start it all up ready for the official start time. I often return later to find that people have been in the booth using it before it's due to start. It would be great if there was a 'Photobooth starts at...' or 'Closed for maintenance' screen we could show when the booth is not running? Possibly like the 'press to lock' function. Maybe using the right hand corner as a 'Press for maintenance screen' ?
Even maybe showing a clock with the start time on? eg: 'Photobooth open at 8pm'

Would be really useful.

I agree. This would be handy. Even a matrix that can be configured for operating times. So if you have it open at 8pm, a pre defined message you can set is displayed. Then at 8pm, it automatically switches to operating mode.

    Well Darrell & Darren,

Being you leave your booth unattended and no one there
to make sure people do not START running your booth
without proper knowledge what to do, you could try making sure
that you follow a few simple steps prior to leaving it unattended:

#1 turning the LIGHT in your booth OFF
#2 the curtain(s) are closed completely
#3 possibly turn off the booth monitor
#4 make a SIGN that hangs over the curtain entrance that shows
the time the booth will be opened
    [see attached]

Adding what you are asking for are only features that bog down
the software and John has a To Do list already longer that he needs
with requests for features that are much more photo booth related
than what the Operator could do on his/her own.

You could also create a START screen in Settings > Screen Overlays
to be on the monitor while you are not there... see attached

We are here to help and really do want your Suggestions
so don't take this as a "NO THANKS" reply - your ideas are great
but there are ways that you can achieve the same results with
what you already have within Sparkbooth 4.0

My 2¢ on this and let me know if you need my help in doing this

I have had my light off, curtain closed and a prop table pushed up in from of the entrance and STILL has some jackasses move the table and try to start a session.
I think the only way to stop people is to have everything completely shut down and a sign.
