Hello,
I am using a canon EOS1300D camera for my photo booth & the trial software is just displaying a fuzzy screen?
Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks Danny

To change/select a camera, you need to be in the Camera Setting
located by clicking the Ctrl+3 keys - at the top will be a drop down
to show what cameras are connected to the computer.

    ctrl+3 Keys?
Its keeps bringing up a square menu in the middle of the screen with no reference to camera settings.

    Danny,

If you select the F1 key and it opens the Main Settings
Then the F3 key will open the Camera Settings

The keys for settings are as follows:
    • F1 or Ctrl+1 opens Main Settings
    • F2 or Ctrl+2 opens the Screen Settings
    • F3 or Ctrl+3 opens the Camera Settings
    • F4 or Ctrl+4 opens the Counters

YES (as John requested) that appears to be from
    (1) not enough light
    (2) using a low resolution webcam without enough light

    • F1 or Ctrl+1 opens Main Settings - This works. The others do nothing?
    • F2 or Ctrl+2
    • F3 or Ctrl+3
    • F4 or Ctrl+4

    I can't see what i'm doing wrong?

    Danny,

Try this **hold down the Ctrl+Shift+9 keys to send a
Support Request that will have additional info about
your computer and all the settings for us to review...

If this doesn't work, we may need to do a TeamViewer session
where you allow us to be on your computer to take a closer look

Do you have the EOS Utility running at the same time as Sparkbooth? You
cannot have another application connected to the camera at the same time.

NOTE: be aware of another little feature that can
cause you big time grief... in the Settings > Photo Layout
window there is a little swirly arrow icon, if you have
no idea what it does DO NOT TOUCH IT
    ..see attached image.

Making changes to the default setting can produce
old Favorite layouts to be printed for everyone at an event
and having a layout for and OLD BDay party at a Wedding
will drive you crazy wondering why it keeps changing layouts
    for every session...
Leave it on Default layout all others will change
your layout to another Favorite (Red Heart) layout you still have
    in your layout selection.
Every NEW layout you create will be saved as a Favorite and
all those old ones still showing a Red Heart will be available
to change to by user actions or automatically.

This feature is GREAT if you create 2-3-4 different layouts
for an event that can be selected by the user or automatically
changes after each session. Giving the event users slightly
different layouts (you created for this event) ...
just make sure that the only layouts you have listed as
Favorite are those you are going to allow to be used.

Turning off Favorites is simple - The Lightning bolt icon
opens the 3 other icons of
    • Preview (Magnifying glass) -
    • Import (folder icon) -
    • Eye (Hide/Unhide layouts)
where you just POKE the Eyes to turn off as Favorite...

I hope this teaching session helps keep you out of trouble...
    Happy Boothing
