when choosing a laptop What outputs are needed for adding a touchscreen and camera

need direction on what laptop to buy. do not want to buy one and find it does not have the right output like dvi or vga or hdmi etc If you could point me in the right direction on the best one for your software thanks kim

    Hi Kim, the hardware specifications are the most important. Assuming you are buying a new laptop (vs. a used one) most mid-priced laptops will handle SB DSLR just fine.
    The mistake most people people make is trying to go cheap on the heart of the system.

    This is the spec list from the SB front page:
    Sparkbooth DSLR System Requirements

    Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Vista
    Compatible Canon DSLR and/or Webcam, Keyboard, optional USB button
    4GB or more RAM, and Intel i5 processor or faster recommended

    Something like this will work well for you

    Forgot to add that there are many touchscreen monitors that use the HDMI interface, like these.

    Acer 21.5"

    Acer 19.5"
