There are so many listed. Can you tell me one that you would recommend that will provide me with a quality picture. And do I also need to purchase a tripod? I also just purchased a Hiti printer.

Sharontag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/473392522019-06-10T01:15:22Z2019-06-10T01:15:22ZCamera

Q?: why are you planning to switch to a DSLR?
Do you know how to use one and all the settings
that need adjusting for every event?

I understand a DSLR camera is going to produce better quality photos than any webcam... but for a photo booth, the largest photo would only be a 4X6 if you filled the layout with one single photo box.

I have been doing photo booths now for over 8 years and the past 7+ years using a Logitech c920 webcam. With good lighting and a background curtain, the photo quality (IMO) has been great and all our clients have been very happy with every event we have done.
(see a few samples attached)

Now if you understand how to make setting adjustments on a DSLR camera, then just about any one of the cameras listed will work for you. - If you have no clue about using a DSLR camera, I highly suggest you take a close look at an old video I did for Lighting and how my booth is set up (4+ year old video)
NOTE: my booth(s) look nothing like that any more... but the lighting and curtain information is still the same in my booths today.
