How do I get the button on the screen to change photo styles?

If you are referring to the Photo Effects (Color/B&W/Sepia/etc)
in Screen Settings (Ctrl+2) you check the Effects box.

To change the Layout the same - check Layout box

If you are wanting the guest to select the photo type (Square/Wide/Portrait)
that is not a guest/user option... must be selected when creating a layout prior to using for a session.

I can get it to come up as a mandatory option they have to pick at the beginning of the photo shoot, but it used to be available in the top left of the photo viewing screen as a toggle option. How do I get that back?

    Thanks,

Uncheck the Use Start Screens and any of the options you have checked will appear as a Button on screen to select by the guest.
