Do all the prints come out bigger than usual when printing on trial mode? I expect the water mark but I can’t figure out if I suck at this or is this regular?

No, you just have things set up wrong.

You need to make sure you have your PRINTER
set up to print to 4X6 paper size and set for portrait
...even if you are making a Landscape layout, the software
will rotate it correctly - because you will check a box
to do that in the SB software Printing Settings
(make sure your Printing page looks like the attached)

Then in the Photo Layout page you can use one of the
built in layouts OR create your own Custom layout
in the Layout Editor by clicking the Square with Pencil icon
    (above the lightning bolt).
This will put you in the Layout Editor area
where you have full control to create a layout.

    {see this page on creating layouts}

NOTE... this video is an old one and there are
a lot of new features that are in the current version...
and not shown in this video, but it will get you started
    on creating your layouts.

I checked made sure everything matched but it’s still printing weird. Right now I’m using a canon pixma mg3620 inkjet printer, do you think that may be an issue?

First thing you need to do is setup your printer for borderless printing.
Some printers have a borderless paper size.

Once you setup the printer for borderless printing, do another test print
and include a scan of it here.
