USB stick
I was thinking about saving the 'originals' image-folder...on a plugged in USB-stick.
Which can be handed over to the client as a gift, immediately when the boothparty is over.
I already tried some short boothsessions out here at home, it seems to work fine.
But i do not know if i do can except possible computerproblems with extended hours of use.
What do you think about this?

Bad idea. USB sticks are not very reliable.

Let's suppose, while a boothsession is in progress, the connected usb-stick won't save the images anymore...Does this hinder or block the program?

It could mean you would lose all your photos

Here is what I suggest to All Users on how to Save everything...
1) Create a FOLDER on the Desktop of your booth computer
and name it PB-pics (stands for Photo Booth pictures)
2) Every time you have an event, go INTO the PB-pics folder
and create a NEW Folder the DATE of the event 2021-12-18
... that is full Year first, Month second and Day third
... this will make it easy to find each event by date
3) If you are going to be saving Singles, and GIF's, etc and
are only going to be Uploading the Layouts/Strips
... inside the Dated folder Create a New Folder called singles
- and one for GIFs
3B) If you are going to be saving Singles, and GIF's, etc and
want to Upload the Layouts/Strips and the singles and GIFs
then do not create any folders inside the dated folder (you will be
saving all in the main dated folder so they can all be seen in the Album
and Kiosk available for uploading.
Next, in Settings > Saving only check the Folder icon for the Layouts
and select that dated folder to save in... ( DO NOT check the box below
that says [ ] Create new sub folder per day (yyyy-mm-dd)
...This screen shot should help... (see attached)
I will need to create a How To Save video showing how this is done
that will help everyone when saving their Layouts/Singles/GIFs
... this will need to wait until after the Holidays... Hope I don't forget LOL

OH... I forgot - to give all these images (Layouts/singles/GIFs
to your client at the end of the event, insert your Flash drive
and Drag the Dated folder to it and in seconds, it will all be copied
and you can pull it out and hand to your client.

Thank you Joe.
The reason for my question with the usb-stick is...
All boothowners in my country rent out the booths without attendants.
So copying the files on the spot is not possible
Booths are collected back the next day.
So sending the original images is also afterwards.
My question was, to get rid of this extra work for me, and the client has only to pull out his usb-stick at the end of his party.
I could offer this usb-stick then as a promo-gift or as a payed option.

OK... when leaving a booth unattended at any event
you no longer have any control - yes, people do this all the time
but then they want to be able to do things that requires someone there...
No software has that ability... as we said, it is NOT a good idea to
insert a USB Flash Drive to save the photos - USB sticks are not very reliable
