Virtual Props

I currently use Sparkbooth software and utilize a prop table. With the danger of Covid spread I'm rethinking using props. Are there any software apps out there that might have virtual props that guests can choose from and still be able to print their strips? Thanks in advance.

John made a Update that fixed it so you DO NOT need to
save the Individual Photos and still have only the layout saved
    with the Decorated photos...

I tested it the way you use the software for only saving
the layouts and it worked perfect. Just Update your 7.0
to the 7.0.58 latest version and you will be all set.

    Good day, gentlemen,

I found a feature you may want to consider incorporating into the production release of Sparkbooth 7, since it now supports props and other such overlays on photographs.

I've configured my initial computer for final production, to include all my photostrip layouts and overlays. I've also added custom props and organized them into my own sets for customer use. However, when I went to Advanced>export, it didn't permit me to export my custom props collections. I was not sure whether this was automatically exported, so I proceeded with the default check boxes.

I also moved the entire props directory from the original computer to the second computer. When I went to import the application file (.sbs?), it worked exactly as expected--everything else was "copied" except for my custom prop collections.

It's not an issue at this point, but request that if there's a customizable feature/collection in Sparkbooth, that you export that as part of the .sbs file.

Overall, version 7 Beta works fine. I'm interested in your thoughts on this feature request.

If I recall correctly... you have your IT guy install your props into the MAIN Sparkbooth folder directory... and I said that is not how it is done - but you said it was working.... so I did not go any further with it.

Now you can not get the Export to work for your props...
If you had imptorted them into the software the way I showed you, they would all be in the correct directory location for the Import setting to work as they should.

Also in the Stickers settingn you can Export ant of the collections you have that are saved as files and rename them to whet the files are ( =

Call me in Skype and I can 'esplain it to you again...
and get it the way it should work.
It is not a bug or not working right, it is user error

I thought he was saying that the Settings > Advanced > Export was not including the virtual props? So I was going to look at that.

John, Please re-read my note. It is explained very well.
Custom prop collections from first computer did not transfer to second computer.

Joe, I have my custom props in the same location as the default props. Are you saying that is not where they belong?

When we last did a Skype call, you told me that your IT guy
placed all your new props into the main directory folder
(see attached) that the software has the built in stickers...
I told you then, that is not how you add new stickers...

If you call me in Skype, I can 'esplain it to you how it is done
the right way so that when you do a Export,
ALL the stickers catigories will be exported correctly.....

The way you have added your new stickers maybe working now
in this computer, (and I do not understand how???) but they will not be Exported correctly when doing an Export of your system set up

Joe, I took a pic of Laptop 1 and Laptop 2 in the decorate photo screen after a session.
Why is the NEXT PHOTO green Button missing on Laptop 2?

Also... take a look at Both About page and
make sure they are both the same version...
One may have an older 7.0 version and that could be why

You have way too many Sticker icons (catigories) available
on screen for the guest to select from and
they are going BEYOND the screen on right side.

UnFavorite (remove Red Heart) on some of the sticker collections
that you are not using (the built in ones)
and SEE if the Next Photo button appears

Okay, I did unheart and it fixed the issue. BUT, does this mean the export/import needs fixing? Why didn't these heart/unheart setting transfer? UGH!!!

    Joe Connell's Avatar

That may be part of what I need to review with John
    about the Export ...

NO UGH... 7.0 is a NEW version and has not been fully released yet
and only a handful of users have begun using it...
there may be a few quirks we still need to work out...
and that is why it is Unavailable as a normal Download on the web site

Yeah I take the UGH back. I forget that it is a beta so my bad. :)

I just talked to John and he will have an Update with a fix
for the Import so that all the Props are imported properly.
    and a few other adjustments...
When it is available I will let you know...

I also found all my Prop images and I will ZIP file each folder
and Upload to my Drop box and send you a link
(as soon as I have a few minutes to get them all together)
