Using the webcam on the computer and set the
layout to portrait. Had not trouble with other shots, just greenscreen.
Also, when the photo prints, you can see that the orientation is still the
same, but the background is much larger. Notice the stars in the picture I
have attached and the star in the original background.

When using portrait mode, you CAN use the webcam at horizontal orientation but you are limited by the vertical resolution of the camera and you are getting the middle "slice' of what the optical sensor can see (the camera's sensor is horizontally biased) turning your camera corrects this.
When you use greenscreen, the programming expects to have the fully rendered area to apply the image to and it's only getting half of that, so it's doing what it can to still apply the image.
If I was at home I would test it out but I'm pretty sure I'm right.

Rob (ZCZ)tag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/456760322018-07-14T00:27:47Z2018-07-14T00:27:47ZGreenscreen printing background at wrong size

ok wait cause I am confuse now are you using a laptop with a built in webcam or are you using an external webcam and if so what's the name of the webcam.

Jorge Olivatag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/456760322018-07-14T00:35:17Z2018-07-14T00:35:17ZGreenscreen printing background at wrong size

Can I remote into your computer to take a look? So I'm using the software set up to do fun pics for kids at a free
Maker Camp at the library, so I'll have to see about an additional $80 for
a webcam. That may not happen. I did make the layout with Portrait mode,
but without being able to rotate the camera (as it' my laptop webcam) it
may not work anyway, from what I am reading. If so, such is life. I will
have to plan a different project.

I have the kids making 5x7 comic books of characters they've created and
then wanted to put their own portrait onto the cover, while also teaching
them how a green screen works.

to the layout editor and press the export button in the toolbar. And also
send a screenshot of your camera settings (press ctrl-3 to display)

Johntag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/456760322018-07-15T16:27:09Z2018-07-15T16:27:09ZGreenscreen printing background at wrong size

Sandy,

I am sure I can help you get this done

I use Skype to help our Sparkbooth users around the world
where we can talk and I can share my screen showing you
how easy it is to do.

Skype is 100% free to use computer to computer and
you can get it here www.skype.com
then in the Skype contacts send a request to my Skype email
ccuvideo@gmail.com and we can connect...

We can get this done just as you wanted it and
the kids will have a great time.
