Regarding the live view
Try a full restart of the software
what was the version you have (can't find it here due to this page
looks out of wack, can't wait for the fix)

Restart helped like I said. But this has been happening since we
first started with SB two years ago. Now running latest
version.

When clients at the end of an event pull the plug and let the
battery drain, when I start it up in the office there's usually a
frozen screen.

But apparently happens at normal start up (my employee says)
also.

emiltag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/403264582016-07-14T18:59:12Z2016-07-14T18:59:12ZScreen freezes

Can you send the sparkbooth.txt file in your Documents

Another problem that has started occuring quite frequently.
Computer recognizes webcam (logitech c920) but Sparkbooth doesn't

the processors are only clocked at 1.2Ghz (far under what is
required) even though it has an auto overclock feature (up to
2.9ghz) I very much doubt they can run like that for extended
periods of time. The RAM is enough, but the very minimum.
Do you have the built-in webcam disabled?

Rob (ZCZ)tag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/403264582016-07-21T11:37:48Z2016-07-21T12:05:39ZScreen freezes

Did we get a fix for this? I have three machines, all with

Maybe you're right about the tablet overheating. It usually
happens the second day the machine has been on.

How about the other issue? "Another problem that has started
occuring quite frequently. Computer recognizes webcam (logitech
c920) but Sparkbooth doesn't (only shows and takes black
images)."

This happens from fresh start up (no extended use before, so no
overheating). Sometimes a reboot will fix it, sometimes a reboot
will allow me to select the logitech webcam from the list,
sometimes not after the first reboot.

Thanks

emiltag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/403264582016-07-23T21:19:37Z2016-07-23T21:19:37ZScreen freezes

Do you have the built-in webcam deactivated in the control

I've had the same computer (and several more with same specs)
without this problem. so no that's not it.

At startup computer recognizes webcam, sparkbooth does not. (Not
the overheating issue with image freezing)

emiltag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/403264582016-07-26T11:57:29Z2016-07-26T11:57:29ZScreen freezes

You stated you have
Intel Core M-5Y71
RAM 4 gb

That does not meet the current system requirements and
I am sure that is the reason you are having issues.

4Gb ram was the 3.0 version minimum and now with
all the added features of 4.0, the Sys. Req.'s have increased.

We (A1) have 2 units and never have any issues like the ones
you are having and our systems have i5 processors and 8Gb ram.

It's like trying to pull a Air Steam trailer with a Mini
Cooper
the more you add to that Trailer, the tougher the pull for the
Cooper

Joe Connelltag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/403264582016-07-26T13:28:04Z2016-07-26T13:28:04ZScreen freezes

That is a very strange one. Usually if Sparkbooth is not able to
select the webcam it means that some other program has "dibs" on
it. Do you have any other programs (Skype, Messengers etc...) that
auto start with Windows?
I know I'm reaching here but you are the only person I have seen
reporting something like this so I don't think it was any kind of
update bug.

Rob (ZCZ)tag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/403264582016-07-26T13:55:25Z2016-07-26T13:55:25ZScreen freezes

Or some laptops have cheap webcams that are not compatible. It
has nothing
to do with an update.

Johntag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/403264582016-07-29T10:15:29Z2016-07-29T10:15:29ZScreen freezes

I'm aware this could probably have to do with windows, drivers,
webcam, usb-hub...

But yes it's super weird. If I fix it I'll let you know. Now
I've upgraded to win10, disabled front and rear webcam and
reinstalled the logitech c920.

emil
