Computer froze after
leaving it standing for one hour. Tried turning screen saver off,
updating all relevant drivers, downloading latest version of

I then changed the resolution on the display settings menu from

I updated my computer to an I5 processor with 8mb Ram and the
freezing stopped. Previously I was using an AMD E1 processor
computer with 12mb ram. I turned off all screen savers and power
saving options as well as all updates from Microsoft. In addition,
I also used a Logitech c920 webcam. This webcam has to be plugged
into a USB 2 port. When I plugged it into a usb 3 port, the system
froze randomly. All seems stable now. Good luck.

I followed Alex Piqueira’s lead and decided to install
Sparkbooth on a new computer…You will notice that I used
another activation a couple of days ago.

It’s been on test now for about 10 hours & no problem
as yet, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it’s
going to stay that way. The computer, Ram & setup are identical
to the previous one so it will be interesting to see how it
goes.

Regards the troublesome computer. I now have that one sitting on
the bench. Funny thing is though is that this one was not causing
much trouble after I re-installed the video drivers. After I did
that it only failed again twice in one week. previously to that it
failed every single time I left it on for one hour or more.

I have just installed your recommended update to the computer on
the bench…I did not delete the original Sparkbooth program
first though because I figured that I would have to use yet another
activation if I did. It’s now sitting on the bench working
perfectly at the moment…I’ll keep you informed.

I have attached the “Sparkbooth txt file” plus
“settings file”, so hopefully you can see where the
problem is.

Regards

Just remember you do not loose Activations...
If you run out, you can reset them and just need to reactivate
any computers (upto 3) that you want to use.

Just a quick question. the way we are operating our photo booth
is that we
are referring the jpeg files to a usb flashdrive so customers can
remove the
usb at the end of the night and take it with them.

We had an occasion when the usb flashdrive failed and our
customer asked if
we had copies of the photos that had been taken all night. (we are
not using
a printer).

So I guess my question is "is it possible for sparkbooth to
refer the files
to two drives at the same time (flashdrive and "C" drive), so as we
have a
backup copy"?

If not, any suggestions?

Regards

save to a
hard drive and then copy to the USB at the end of the night. You do
not
want your only copy of the photos to be saved to something with a
high
failure rate.

If you have an internet connect, maybe use something like
Dropbox so you
have a backup somewhere.

Johntag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/360945712015-03-31T23:53:06Z2015-03-31T23:53:06ZFreezes randomly in application

Here is what we (A1 Photo booth) do

I have a folder on the desk top called PB
pics
for every event, I create a New Folder inside
and name it the date of the event [ 2015-3-28
]
where I save all the layouts. I also create a new folder
inside that folder called [ singles ] where all
the singles are saved.

At the end of the event I pop in a DVD (a Cd is not always large
enough
to hold all the files) and I drag the dated folder (with all the
images)
to the CD/DVD drive. You could do the same to the Flash drive.
It only takes about 3-5 minutes to copy all the files and you are
done.

This way we always have every image on the computer for each
event
in case the client needs them in the future. Most computers
today
have very large HD's so there in no worry of taking up space.
