Computer is a gateway touchscreen with built in webcam.....printer is a canon 5660......i don't think the printer is the problem because the photo is dark on screen....i'm thinking it might be the camera....can you recommend a webcam and/or lights?....thanks zchurchz I would appreciate any happy you can offer.....

I would assume it's the webcam. Most webcam software will try to adjust for lighting conditions . You might have a "wonky" webcam or the software is overcompensating for what it see's as a "overly bright" situation.
I would buy a separate webcam and test it unless you feel comfortable messing with the built in software defaults.
    Good luck

BTW, looking at your print it looks good to me ::::shrug:::: maybe you are seeing something different.

Thanks, could you recommend a webcam? Maybe, I'm being to critical, but I had someone asks about the quality of the picture. Thanks so much for the advice and the comment.

The Logitech C910 is currently the Sparkbooth "cam of choice" because of it's glass lens and software options (autofocus/RightLight).
If you want to use a cheaper model just for testing , use the C600
