any variations like the one made from a USB Mouse or USB Keyboard.
If anyone knows of other alternatives such as Maurice's (in your
"Building Your Own Photo Booth Resources" page). His was made with
an arcade button, an old mouse and ply wood which I thought would
be pretty easy to make, all I would need is a little more details
on the "how to" part.

Thanks!

manusamoa07tag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/131075632012-01-24T15:19:43Z2012-01-24T15:19:44ZHelp to build a custom USB button

Get a wired (not wireless) USB mouse (not PS2) and take it
apart. Look for the contacts and/ or switch that would be activated
with a left mouse click. Wire your new external button across these
on a lead of sufficient length (you can leave the original in place
in most cases). Re-assemble mouse (or tape up securely).

You can plug multiple USB mice into a PC at once, so you can
have a 'real' mouse (hidden fromthe public) and your new 'button
only' mouse.

Total cost - about £/$ 5 for a cheap usb mouse!

Stevetag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/131075632012-01-24T18:08:46Z2012-02-27T02:10:22ZHelp to build a custom USB button

Get the button here: <a href=

Are there
options to make buttons to toggle the "image color"? If not its
cool, I'm content with the help given already.

manusamoa07tag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/131075632012-01-27T16:46:18Z2012-01-27T16:46:19ZHelp to build a custom USB button

The mouse modification is just that - all it does is simulate a
left click of the mouse. for other stuff I guess you could
theoretically cut a keyboard up -but that might get messy!

(Personally I'm, in favour of minimising the options the users
have - especially in a party environment - keep it really really
simple for them!

steve
