I just did an event today, I used the picturemate charmand pre-cut the 4x6 photo paper to 2x6 and printed the images using "1 x 4 center, 4 x 6 portrait" and it worked amazingly well!

Yes! I cut the paper before loading, and just adjusted the guides to hold it in place in the center. I got the idea from here http://davidcline.wordpress.com/2009/08/22/update-diy-wedding-photo... and found that the best print layout is "1 x 4 center, 4 x 6 portrait" and set the printer to "4 x 6 borderless"
