We have proceeded on building our first booth, and are now in trying it out. We noticed that when we clicked the left mouse key, it would start the photo process. So we wired a button on our booths front panel and then soldered those to wires to circuit board pads under the left mouse switch. It worked fine. But occasional it seems to have no effect, normally we have to close and reopen the program sometimes this helps sometimes not. Also on occassion we have noticed that even clicking the spacebar on the laptop has no effect we have to open we just open on of the sparkbooth settings and then the spacebar seems to work fine. Any suggestions on this issue? We have plans for at least ten more units, and hopefully quite a few more.

When you are clicking on the mouse, the cursor is probably over the video
window which will start the session. I recommend using a USB button to
    emulate the spacebar instead.

In regard to the spacebar not having any affect, that usually happens with
the application loses focus. For example, if you use the task manager to
switch to another application. Then that application is now receiving the
    keyboard input.

John, Only program on the laptop we are using is the sparkbooth, it has 4 gigs of ram and 380 harddrive. We used a wired mouse plugged into the USB and has I said we soldered the connections on that outside mouse. Thanks for the info on cursor location once from now on I will center the cursor using the touchpad on the video window and then lock it.

John, You were right on about the cursor location. The big red button to start works fine has long has the cursor is over the video window. Thanks for the help.

I forgot to mention that you can also use to the Party Booth 1.0 theme. The
clickable area in that theme is the entire screen.
