If you meet the conditions in this post, I can give you access
to the
private beta for Canon cameras:

D90, and my computer is a mac. I do have a point and shoot camera
that is a cannon power shot, which I suppose might take better
pictures than the built-in webcam on my macbook pro, which is my
other option, and I could use my old laptop, which is a pc and has
windows vista. Do you think I would have better results with my
cannon power shot than my built-in web cam? And does the process
still flow as smoothly when using a camera rather than a webcam? My
powershot is just one of the cheaper ones, I paid somewhere between
$100 and $150, and I plan to use a continuous light source through
a softbox in the photobooth.

Thanks,

are
much better than the webcam. But you need to first verify that
your
camera is compatible with the ExtraWebcam software mentioned in
the
post. Please read the post carefully to see if you qualify.

Johntag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/99317722011-09-13T18:10:10Z2011-09-13T18:10:10ZDSLR camera rather than a webcam

I'm at work right now, so I can't test it until I get home, but
I'm sure it will work, there's a big long list of all of the cannon
powershots on the extrawebcam site, and mine is only a year old.
I'd be very interested in learning more about this -

Thanks,
