He used an external webcam instead of the iSight because of
better quality
video.

The only issue is getting the application to recognize the USB
webcam
instead of the iSight. But here is some help on that

Worst case, you will have to disable to the iSight hardware.

Johntag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/97653672011-09-07T11:04:07Z2011-09-07T11:04:08ZUsing the Logitech c910 with spark booth on a mac

Hi Hoyu,

Better, although you should adjust the settings as suggested in
the link that john has posted.

All features remain.

I've found that the only issues are lighting ones. If you don't
get that right it can be a very precocious piece of hardware.

moving even under good lighting condition. Thats the problem i
found I'm having with the built-in isight on a mac.

Hoyutag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/97653672011-09-12T11:59:53Z2011-09-12T11:59:53ZUsing the Logitech c910 with spark booth on a mac

Yes,

That really won't make a difference no matter what camera you
use though. Although you don't have to be perfectly still to get a
good picture.

Here's 2 examples of shots I got using a Logitech C910 webcam
with a single fluorescent light tube. neither are "perfectly still"
and one has a guy who quickly moved as the shot was being
taken.
