it makes no sense to switch. You should check back occasionally
though, John is making updates and breakthoughs all the time.</p></div>Rob (ZCZ)tag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/259563032013-03-19T16:20:09Z2013-03-19T16:20:09Zcan this layout creator work on other photo booth software? <div><p>Ann,</p>
<p>1st thing (not to sound rude here) why would John create a
software program like Layout Creator, make it available to upload
FREE so people could take it and use it with other company software
that they paid another company for? Sorry if that seemed rude, but
using common sense would say... NO</p>
<p>NOW regarding all the features that John has added and continues
to add to his Sparkbooth sofware on an almost daily basis... I
would think anyone who has purchased his software would realize by
now, John is always working to make Sparkbooth better. He HEARS
everyone out there who keep shouting DSLR and I am sure he is doing
all he can to get that feature added into his Sparkbooth
program.</p>
<p>Zchurchz said it best ... if you are all set up with (and happy)
with some other software program and insist it has to have DSLR
capability, then stick with it. I personally have used other
software and was not happy. Trying to do the simplest of changes
[adding a test area] was like reinventing the wheel. But when I
connected with Sparkbooth and saw how John listens to customer
suggestions and actually works his magic to add features... this is
the software company I want to use.</p>
<p>EXAMPLE: I made a suggestion for a double strip portrait
layout<br>
that had a blank area at the top and bottom to place text.<br>
(This was before the Layout Creator) John sent me a reply<br>
he had something for me... the next message contained an<br>
image of the first draft of the Layout Creator... within 2
weeks,<br>
with me as his Beta tester, John took my idea and went with it
!</p>
<p>There are very few companies that give real service any
more.</p>
<p>Stick around and watch... I am 99.9% sure John will someday<br>
in the near future have Sparkbooth rockin and rollin with
cameras<br>
that are currently being used with other photo booth software
companies.</p>

<p>I am a user here just like most everyone else and<br>
<strong>I DO NOT WORK FOR SPARKBOOTH</strong></p>
<p>I am only saying, from what I have noticed with John's<br>
Sparkbooth software and with what he has done and<br>
continues to do by updating his software, I can not believe<br>
that he will not get it to work... IMO he is a Wizard of Coding</p>
<p>My posting here as <strong>SB Discussions Support</strong> is
only my doing.<br>
There are more than a dozen other users here who also pitch in<br>
with support answers and they just don't brag about it.<br>
I don't always have the answers and they are the people who<br>
come in and post when I was not smart enough to be able to
help.</p>
<p>I am a user and I am proud to provide any help and support<br>
when I can to help the Sparkbooth company ... PERIOD !</p>

foolish question but can't help but ask as I do know spark booth is
just too great. I'm not asking layout creator be for free for other
pb software. I am willing to pay for it separately of course.
Thanks for sharing your views still :)</p></div>anntag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/259563032013-03-24T04:10:03Z2013-03-24T04:10:03Zcan this layout creator work on other photo booth software? <div><p>The Layout Cteator was designed for the layouts<br>
that are set up for Sparkbooth. Other software<br>
programs have the layouts (IMO) why out of wack,<br>
trying to just add text to a lyout requires you totally<br>
understand the X an Y factors within the the pixel<br>
dimentions that the screen ...bla bla bla</p>
<p>And I create web sites from hard code scratch and<br>
I hated the time it took and found Sparkbooth.<br>
Even before the Layout Creator... it was simple to use<br>
any of the layout designs and add what ever you needed.<br>
And now we can even make custom laouts no one else has.</p>
<p><em>shh... I heard the Kiosk does... because it is just reading
a Folder<br>
that you have set to place all the images in... how cool is
that.</em></p>

that Layout Creator is coded specific to Sparkbooth. When you
create a layout you are creating a set of movable, re-sizable,
rotatable "picture frames" that the photos insert themselves into.
Other PB programs would have no idea what this file is.</p></div>Rob (ZCZ)tag:help.sparkbooth.com,2010-04-06:Comment/259563032013-03-24T17:21:37Z2013-03-24T17:21:37Zcan this layout creator work on other photo booth software? <div><p>Hi,</p>
<p>One option is to if you hold ctrl key (cmd key on Mac) and press
the Export<br>
button, you can get a JSON formatted text file describing the
layout. It<br>
will not include the overlay and background images like a SBL file,
but<br>
someone could write a converter application to convert the JSON
file into a<br>
file for another photo booth application.</p>

stuff u suggested John, but i know you guys are all so helpful :) I
